Good service with nice food in a slightly dark atmosphere: Restaurant Prince (8. November 2021)

The Restaurant Prince is maybe not as royal as the name suggests but it is definitely a place which you can visit. Frankly speaking though, the place is a bit interesting in terms of intensity of light, i.e., rather dark, but still a place worth visiting. I went for the “Chubby Belly (grilled pork belly with chili, garlic, lemongrass on rice noodles and lime sauce)” (EUR 11.00) which was somehow more beef than pork belly but enjoyable. Somehow I had missed the ‘rice noodles’ part which turned out to be quite a portion, i.e., much more than I had expected, and frankly, this is much more than a starter for me.

As a second course I decided to go for the “Seabass Ceviche (seabass, “Leche de Tigre”, sweet potatoes, avocado, red onions, garlic, cilantro, chili)” (EUR 13.50) which was enjoyable. Definitely not the best ceviche I have ever had but definitely a good enjoyable ceviche.

What they do quite well is the drinks as well as the speed in which they serve the drinks. I went for the “Prince Mule (Tanqueray Gin grapefruit infused, ginger beer, fresh lime juice, cucumber)” (EUR 9.00) which was refreshing and close to a traditional Moscow Mule but somehow more refreshing and generally a bit better.

The “Fresh Thai Coconut” (EUR 6.50) which wasn’t an alcoholic drink was nice since it was perfect to refresh yourself enjoying a bit of coconut water.

Finally, the “Slow Monkey (Monkey 47 Sloe Gin, Mediterranean tonic water, lime juice, orange zest)” (EUR 12.00) was a good ending to the evening in terms of drinks. So, all in all, the drinks offered in the Restaurant Prince are enjoyable as well as the dishes.

What I like about the place is the fact that not only the food is tasty but also the fact that the service is relatively quick and makes sure that the drinks you’re ordering are arriving with within a few minutes after ordering which is especially nice when you’re super thirsty and are just waiting for the next drink while eating. All in all, the Prince is a nice place with good food, nice drinks, lovely atmosphere, and ultimately also good service.
