16. April 2011: Bar Venta del Toro

| April 22, 2011 | 0 Comments

The Mojito (18 TL) is quite good and strong but it takes the bar tender ages to actually prepare it. The beer (7,5 TL) is somewhat expensive for Istanbul. The atmosphere in the bar is nice (it’s way darker in there in the evening than shown in the picture) and the music played is good (although it’s mainly Latin music and nothign Turkish really).

The crowd is good and there was live music played, so although the place was not really cramped, there was really something going on.

Personally, if you don’t mind not experiencing something Turkish for a while, I can definitely recommend the Bar Venta del Toro. It’s right next to the Café next to the Galata Tower, and the Enginar Bar.
