Good for a super brief lunch break but nothing more: Restaurant Archie’s Wok (26. November 2021)
Sometimes you have to stop to get some food into your stomach and Archie’s Wok was exactly that – a place to make a quick stop to get some food in my stomach. Luckily, they offer something like a “fix lunch menu” (179 MXN) where you can chose between three starters, three mains, and three desserts (although also the desserts are on the salty side). I went for the combination of “lumpia (Filipino pork eggroll & vegetable filling)”,” Yang-Chow fried rice (stir-fried in the wok with chicken, shrimp and seasonal mixed vegetables)” and a “grilled beef skewer (in a Korean sesame marinade)”.
The food was okay – I mean, the eggroll was decent, the skewer was okay, and the fried rice was good. So, it served its purpose of filling my tummy – wouldn’t really say it did much beyond that.
The place is nice since it offers a little artificially created patio which is surrounded by plants making it like a little corner. So, Archie’s Wok works for you to take a quick break since the place is swift in terms of dealing with your order and serving it. Other than that, not a place I’d return to.
