A decent lounge offering for Marriott Bonvoy elite members: Ellipse Lounge @ Sheraton Berlin Grand Hotel Esplanade (21. February 2022)
If you have Elite status with Marriott Bonvoy, you’re allowed to order one dish at the Ellipse Lounge since there is no actual lounge at the moment. I went for the “lettuce salad, vinaigrette, olives, bread chip, parmesan” (EUR 9.00) with “backed halloumi” (EUR 5.00) which was quite okay. The basis is pretty similar to the Caesar Salad I have had last week but it was tasty and the halloumi was actually surprisingly good too.
The place is still not really that appealing but okay in terms of atmosphere – the service is friendly but it’s not like they are super attentive so you have to be patient for getting the menu, placing your order, and getting the bill. Luckily, the drinks and the dishes are served relatively swiftly.
