Great to hide from the bad weather but not much more: Restaurant Drachenhaus (28. May 2022)
Although I have been to Berlin a multitude of times, I never made it out to Potsdam – this weekend was the time to do so, and I must say that Potsdam, and especially the Sansouci Castle are actually quite amazing to see – even if the weather was as bad as it was this time. And since it was about to start to rain, it was time to do a little break in the one café in the park of the San Souci area – the Dragon House.
The place was crammed (which made sense due to the fact that it just had started raining) and it was funny to see how different waiters see their profession. Our waitress was super friendly, smiley, and attentive. The waiter, who was responsible for the table next to us, was very unfriendly, almost rude!
I went for the “marzipan cake” (EUR 4.90) which was quite okay – I mean, definitely not the best cake I’ve had in my life but an enjoyable one. If you like marzipan, that is!
Personally, the Drachenhaus is not really a place you need to visit but it’s absolutely fine to do so if you’re in the vicinity anyway and the weather turns bad.
