A lovely lunch experience with traditional Lyonnaise cuisine: Restaurant Le Bouchon des Filles (12. June 2022)

| July 5, 2022 | 0 Comments

The Le Bouchon des Filles offers a very authentic Lyonnaise cuisine – and that for a very fair price. The set “lunch menu” (EUR 28.00) starts with a “parade of salad bowls (lentils, herring, beetroot with curry; and some other salad with some meaty element)” which is quite a great start. All the salads were very enjoyable, and you would definitely start with a happy and decently full feeling.

As a little snack in between, you get served a “cream of courgette” which was nice, light, and refreshing.

As a main, I went for the “crunchy black pudding with apples and herbs salad” which was great, since it was good black pudding which I like a lot. But it was also interesting since it was wrapped in puff pastry, and the herb salad on top is super light and aromatic, so, the perfect combination between intense flavours, and a light combination of herbs and puff pastry.

The place is lovey, traditional, appealing, however, it’s tiny. So, you won’t have any spare place on the table when the dishes are served, as it is tiny. And you have to squeeze in – and it’s best if you don’t move throuhgout the lunch. Since it’s minimal.

The service is friendly, but there are quite some tables and seats for the fact that there are only two waiters, which makes the waiting time between the different courses sometimes a bit long. Other than that, I can absolutely recommend you to try the Le Bouchon des Filles when you’re in Lyon. Booking in advance recommended.
