Lovely Middle Eastern cuisine in a shopping mall: Restaurant Maison Noura @ Printemps Haussmann (10. July 2022)
When I was looking for a place which was open on Sunday for lunch and had a good rating in the vicinity of where I was, I found the Maison Noura with a 4.8 on Google. I was hyped, but a bit surprised after all to find out that the restaurant was located in a large shopping mall. Since I kind of found out too late, I decided, we should give this place a try anyway. And I must say, that was a good choice.
The place is located on the first floor, which is the jewellery floor. A bit uncommon to find a restaurant there, but the place is generally lovely, and the staff is very friendly. I went for the “grilled halloumi cheese (cow cheese and his veggies)” (EUR 8.90) as a first starter and I must say, I liked it. When you eat Arabic cuisine, they just know so much better on how to prepare halloumi cheese.
The “hommos (purée of chickpeas with sesame paste lemon and olive oil)” (EUR 7.90) was quite perfect too – and when I had asked them, when they served the pita bread, to bring more, they would do so immediately.
As a main course, I went for the “wild thyme glazed lamb ribs (with paprika rice and samake harra)” (EUR 21.90) which was delicious. I mean, I couldn’t enjoy the rice and the vegetables much any more since the starters were quite heavy, but the lamb was delicious and super enjoyable.
All in all, the Maison Noura was very enjoyable – lovely atmosphere, great service (besides that we had to wait way too long for the bill), and tasty dishes. So, despite the restaurant being located in a shopping mall, I can still recommend you to visit the place when you’re in its vicinity.
