A great find but in a suboptimal location: Restaurant Lele (23. August 2022)

I am not sure how to rate the Lele all in all. On the one hand side, the dishes they offer are actually amazingly delicious and super enjoyable, like the “calamari fritti (fried calamari, aioli)” (CHF 17.00) which were much better than I had expected – and they served plenty of aioli, which was quite delicious too. On the other hand, the place is located right next to a busy street, which makes the whole experience a rather “loud” one.

Not only the starter was delicious, also the main. I went for the “paccheri al cinghale (wild boar bolognese sauce)” (CHF 29.00) which did look a bit funny at first, but actually turned out to be exquisite. The pasta was perfectly cooked as it should be, and the wild boar bolognese was rich and soothing. On top of that, the portion was quite generous, so you would basically not be able to finish it all alone.

On top of that, I went for the “wild broccoli” (CHF 6.00) since it was part of another dish and I just adore ‘wild broccoli’. And it was great, and it was fair in terms of price.

The staff is friendly and attentive, making sure you have what you need at all times. Especially, after you have placed your initial order, the waiter does a marvellous job and provides you with everything you need. The inside of the restaurant seems quite okay too – so, if you’re looking for good dishes in a nice setting for a very fair price, then I would recommend you to book a table in the Lele (but inside).
