An amazing view over Luxembourg: Restaurant L’Observatoire @ Sofitel Luxembourg Le Grand Ducal (11. September 2022)
I was absolutely starving after a 4+ hours drive to Luxembourg and ended up eating in the rooftop restaurant of the hotel. There wasn’t too big a selection in the afternoon, so I went for something hearty, i.e., the “Mu Burger (home-made burger bun, relish sauce, BBQ sauce, bacon, cheddar, candied and crispy onions, tomato, salad, served with French fries)” (EUR 26.00). It looked nice, and it was actually quite good. The burger was cooked medium as requested, the relish, cheddar and bacon really made it a great bite. The French fries on the other hand were a bit stroppy, which was a disappointment I would have loved to avoid.
The place is rather funky and turns into a bar in the evening which also serves quite nice drinks. The service was great, they are super attentive and friendly, and make sure you get everything you need and want.
The view from the L’Observatoire is actually, as the name might suggest, quite lovely, as you get to have a look at Luxembourg city from afar and from above.
Apparently, the real restaurant right next to the bar (which opens in the evening) is even better, so, definitely something to try for the next visit!
