Decent but not exquisite breakfast with a view: Restaurant L’Observatoire @ Sofitel Luxembourg Le Grand Ducal (12. September 2022)
The L’Observatoire is not only a nice bar, but it’s also the place where the breakfast for the hotel guests is served. So, it’s very multi-functional, which is a smart use of a very lovely place. The “American breakfast” (EUR 32.00) offers everything you need and want in good quality. Frankly, it’s not the most luscious breakfast I have seen, but it’s a decent one, ranging from juices to …

… cereals and fruit …
… cheese, salmon, and cold cuts …
… as well as waffles for those who like them.
Of course, you could also order a ‘ham and cheese omelet’ or some other egg dishes. But, personally, this is not really one of the best omelets I’ve had. The ham cubes are humongous, making it hard to eat and enjoy it. Not that it’s bad, but it’s just structurally impractical.
The staff is super attentive and friendly, and does everything to make sure you have a great breakfast experience. If it wasn’t for the omelet, I would have said ‘quite good’. With the omelet, I would say it was ‘okay’.
