When an experience is, unexpectedly, close to perfection: The Capital Lounge @ JW Marriott (14. October 2022)
The options for lunch are relatively limited, and since the Executive Lounge is serving food only until 2pm, I had to find another solution. On the ground floor, there is The Capital Lounge, which offers food basically at all times. Which was perfect. I was in a rush and had only about 20 minutes to order, eat, and leave. And the waiter did a marvellous job in making sure that this was going to happen. He clarified with me that only the “prawn salad” (80.00 SAR) would be served in time. When I had asked for extra hummus on the side (which was not a dish on the menu), it was served without charging anything in addition for it. Which is really just great customer service.
The place is simple, but appealing, meaning you feel comfortable right away. Not only because of the open, modern, and spacious atmosphere, but also because the service really does a good job.
So, frankly, in the JW Marriott, The Capital Lounge experience was the best food experience in the entire hotel.
