Lovely on every level – especially when it comes to interior design: Restaurant Loup (24. November 2022)
The Restaurant Loup was picked by a good friend of mine – and I was quite curious what to expect since she’s a vegetarian. Turns out that even places which are frequented by vegetarians offer decent non-vegetarian food. The “pot de rillettes de Jean Carmet, cornichons et tartines grillées” (EUR 12.00) was definitely something I wanted to try, because I didn’t know what to be expected. Turns out, rillettes is cow stomach. Well, frankly, I’m happy I didn’t know what I had ordered before I ordered. However, once it had arrived, and I had tried my first bite, I figured that I actually like it quite a lot. However, it was a big portion, so I was almost done after the starter.
So, the “Cordon Bleu du chef fait maison” (EUR 26.00) seemed like an exaggeration in terms of amount of food. In any case, it wasn’t the way I had expected, since it was pre-cut (which was very convenient though), but it turned out to be quite tasty. In any case, all in all, the food was good, but definitely too much.
The place is lovely in terms of interior design – modern, and appealing. The service is attentive and friendly, making sure you would have everything you wanted and needed at all times. And when they were about to close down the place, they would allow us to stay a bit longer until we were the last guests. So, all in all, the Loup is a lovely restaurant I can recommend you to visit.
