Still a good place for a quick and tasty business lunch: Restaurant Bärengasse (2. December 2022)
The Restaurant Bärengasse remains a great place for a quick business lunch, since they offer good food for fair prices and relatively swift service. I went for the “Parmesan soup with autumn truffle” (CHF 17.00) as a starter, which was quite nice since it has a smoothing flavour profile and really coated your mouth with a nice layer of Parmesan soup.
The “Ojo de Agua beef paillard, mixed salad, French dressing” (CHF 35.00) was somehow much better than I had expected. The salad was nice, and the salad sauce was actually absolutely delicious. On top of that, the paillard was cut very thinly and still made a good bite when you would cut the paillard role.
The place is simple but still a hotspot due to its location right at Paradeplatz – nice interior, a bit old-fashioned but the audience compensates for that.
All in all, the Bärengasse is a lovely place I can definitely recommend you to try. Just make sure to book early enough so you will actually have a table at hand when trying to go there during the week.
