A surprisingly good steakhouse where you wouldn’t expect it: Restaurant Chef Boutique (3. December 2022)
During my previous stays, I’ve only always seen the restaurant name from the outside, but haven’t actually discovered it inside. It took me a bit to find out where the place is located, and finally managed to get the entrance. The place was crowded since it was showing the soccer cup in Qatar. However, since most people were just there to watch the game, the service and kitchen were relatively swift. I went for the “hummus (chickpeas with tahini sauce and lemon)” (30.00 SAR) as a starter, which was not only a very generous portion, but also a tasty one.
The “wagyu beef rib-eye (240gr)” (173.00 SAR) was cooked perfectly medium as requested and was great in terms of bite and taste. Besides the quality of the meat, the vegetables were also super nice, so, all in all, the dinner was a success. On top of the quality of the food, the kitchen is swift, and the service excellent.
So, all in all, I can highly recommend you to try the Chef Boutique in the Courtyard Olaya – despite the fact that it is a hotel restaurant, it’s actually quite a nice one. And on top of that, it’s also a restaurant where you can sit outside and enjoy the not too bad winter weather outside.
