Perfect to unwind after a hectic work week: Siddharta Lounge By Buddha-Bar @ Grosvenor House (16. March 2023)

| May 26, 2023 | 0 Comments

Whenever I get to Dubai, I feel like taking a brief pause at Siddharta Lounge by Buddha-Bar since it offers kind of everything you need and want. I was quite hungry after a rather late flight and went for the “wagyu beef sliders (wagyu beef, potato bun, spicy mayo, French fries)” (100 AED), which were quite okay. I mean, too much bread and the buns were not really what you would call amazing, but overall, the dish was quite fine. The “crunchy chicken gochujang (labneh and dill sauce, sesame seed)” (75 AED) on the other hand, was quite exquisite. The taste of the chicken was lovely, it was quite a big piece of chicken, and the flavours were nice.

The “creamy burrata (confit figs, carnival tomatoes, fresh basil, balsamic vinegar)” (95 AED) was decent too. Nothing extraordinary, I mean, it was just basically burrata with a few cherry tomatoes. Definitely tasty, sure, but far from extravagant.

What was quite nice, was the “double apple shisha” (AED 225.00) since it was relatively smooth, but with 225.00 AED, it’s on the rather pricey side of things. The shisha guy was attentive and friendly and managed to get the charcoal changed on a regular basis, making it a continuously nice experience.

What I always like about the Siddharta Lounge is the view – and if you’re on the back side of the place, it is also not as crowded and loud as in the front area where the pool is located.

So, all in all, if you are lucky to score a space back there, it’s quite perfect to unwind after a hectic week.
