25. June 2011: FloorTwo Lounge @Grand Hôtel Kempinski
The FloorTwo Lounge in the Grand Hôtel Kempinski is absolutely amazing! The lounge is located in the courtyard of the hotel on the second floor. The atmosphere is just absolutely overwhelming – it is absolutely quiet, the hung curtains create a feeling of cozyness and privacy, when the sun is shining it is just beautiful, the sofas are absolutely cozy and the whole place just emanates noblesse. I was absolutely in love with the place!
The Chardonnay Terrazas Mendoza (CHF 48.00) is fresh and tasty, just a bit too weak in its final note but has a fruity finish. The bottle of Evian costs CHF 9.00 which is okay in price. Overall, the wine was good.
The waitresses and waiters are very friendly and helpful, sometimes you have to wait a bit until they show up again and refill your glasses but besides that, the service is great. Also, you get served cashews and olives – a nice goodie with the white wine.
Overall, the FloorTwo Lounge in the Grand Hôtel Kempinski is just absolutely great – just make sure you go there when the weather is nice. You will love the place, promise!
