18. December 2009: Restaurant Vips

The restaurant Vips is located in the Hotel Zone of Cancun, just in walking distance from the tip of the hotel zone (about 750 meters). It’s part of a Mexican food chain, which makes the atmosphere not too overwhelming at all.

You’re warmly and friendly welcomed by the waiters when you enter the place and you’re guided to your table which you’re free to choose.

The waiters are quick and serve you with drinks within a few minutes.

The menu is acceptably big and they offer a lot of Mexican dishes. I went for a salad which was quite okay. Only the heavy mayonnaise-like dressing wasn’t really the way I expected the salad to be.

The prices are absolutely acceptable. If you’re looking for a quick lunch/dinner where the food is reasonably cheap, Vips is the right place to go.
