A decent place for breakfast if you’re staying here: Restaurant CentOnze @ Le Méridien Barcelona (23. March 2024)
It is more than 10 years ago since I’ve last been to this restaurant, respectively, that I had stayed at the Le Méridien Barcelona and, of course, I couldn’t really remember how the breakfast experience was, but to summarise it, it was ‘practical’. You get everything you need and want, but it is not one of these outstanding experiences, where you are awed after having enjoyed your breakfast. Starting with the ‘egg station’, where they do quite good ‘ham and cheese omelets’, but you need to be patient. They will only take your order once they have emptied one pan. So, if there are like 2 eggs cooking and two people queueing, you will wait quite a bit until you’ve placed your order.
They offer fresh fruit and yogurt …
… salad, cold cuts …
… croquetas (cod and mushrooms), waffles, and tortilla. However, do not go for the cod croquetas, as they are way too fishy in taste!
And last but not least all the typical elements like bacon, sausages, tomatoes, egg …
… pastries …
… cereal …
… and bread.
All in all, the CentOnze is a place you can definitely enjoy your breakfast when you’re here, but not worth going here for breakfast.
