Still outstanding for a business lunch, but on the expensive side of things: Restaurant 1 Komma 7 (23. April 2024)
The 1 Komma 7 is a great place for lunch – but it takes advantage of its location, as, for a lunch menu, even in Zurich, it is rather expensive, respectively, they do not really have a dedicated lunch menu. In any case, I went for the “soup of the day” (CHF 11.70), which I don’t remember what it was, but it was quite decent.
The “grilled bone-hung rib eye (180gr) with herb butter” (CHF 35.70) was absolutely exquisite. The meat is tender and full of flavour, and with a hint of the herb butter, becomes a delicious bite.
The “fries with a dip” which come with it are nice since they are neither stroppy nor greasy, but really just perfect to keep nibbling them away.
The place is modern and nice in terms of interior design. The only downside is that the tables are located quite close to each other, hence, it’s easy to listen in to the conversation on the next table. The staff is friendly and professional (and surprisingly swift). Since the place isn’t enormous, I would highly recommend you to book your table well in advance.
