A good, but rather pricey hotel breakfast: Restaurant Amelys @ Le Royal Hotel Luxembourg (2. July 2024)

It’s a good five years ago since I’ve last been to the Amelys and this time it wasn’t for a regular meal during the day but for breakfast since I had stayed at the Le Royal. With EUR 33.00, the breakfast price is on the rather expensive side of things. … a beautifully displayed selection of cold cuts, fish, paté, cheese …

… yogurt, fruit, …

… pastry …

… as well as a not so great selection of warm dishes (e.g., eggs, bacon, sausages) …

… and a decent selection of fruit juices.

The place is rather simple, but overall okay and the staff is friendly and attentive. However, it felt a little bit like a rip-off, when thinking about the price you pay for the breakfast.
