Overall, a good option for lunch, but rather on the expensive side of things: Restaurant Carlton (3. July 2024)

The Carlton remains a good choice for lunch since you always get nice dishes, but then again, just for a lunch, it’s rather on the expensive side. Today, the starter consisted of “cucumber salad, coriander, sesame and chilli” and was actually reasonably enjoyable. The portion was a bit small, but other than that good.

As a main, I went for the “sea bream fillet, summer carrots, white wine sauce” (CHF 46.00), which was quite okay, but nothing outstanding. Decent though.

What I really enjoyed was the “lemon risotto”, which was served with the sea bream, so, definitely a good add to the main course.

The place is generally nice and enjoyable in terms of interior design, and the staff is friendly and overall attentive. So, you get decent food, in a nice place with good service, so, all in all, a good choice. However, when it comes to prices, then it’s rather at the upper end of things for the amount of food you get.
