A great place to do a short pit stop on a long drive to Reykjavik: Restaurant Systrakaffi (21. August 2024)
Getting back from Jökulsarlon to Reykjavik is a bit of a journey (of more than 400km), so, after a few hours of driving (at a fun speed of 90 km/h max), I decided to do a small pit stop and went for the Systrakaffi, which had great ratings and decided, very unlike me usually, to get a “hot chocolate” (750 ISK). And I must say, it was actually a truly delicious hot chocolate.
The place is simple in terms of interior, but it had one element on their menu, which made me laugh :”NO WIFI – talk to each other”, which I found great advice!
So, if you’re on a long drive from Jökulsarlon to Reykjavik, the Systrakaffi is a good place to do a small pit stop!
