Very traditional Swiss dishes and perfect for playing cards: Restaurant Werdguet (26. August 2024)
To me, the Werdguet is a good place to return because they offer one or two things you don’t get really in other places – simple and traditional Swiss dishes (or close to). I went for the “tomato, mozzarella, bacon, onions salad” (CHF 14.00, which is really quite perfect as a starter. Sure, it’s heavy and intense for a salad, but frankly, it’s quite enjoyable.
As a main, I went for the “veal cordon bleu, stuffed with Gorgonzola and chilli, served with roesti” (CHF 46.00) and I must say, this is something, which puts you in a food coma, but it is also something delicious, especially, if you’re into flavourful food.
The place is simple and generally okay and the waitress is on top of her game, friendly, and attentive – at least largely (until it came to the bill). Plus, one good thing, which is quite difficult by now, is that you get to play cards here without being nagged at by anyone.
