Decent place for decent seafood, but nothing more: Restaurant Brasserie Guillaume (27. August 2024)

| December 9, 2024 | 0 Comments

I have – accidentally – walked by the Brasserie Guillaume a few times in the past, and was never quite sure if I would want to like the place or if I rather felt like this was a bit too crowded, but finally ended up here, because there aren’t too many places open on a Tuesday evening, it seems. I went for the “sardines aux 2 piments et huile vierge, salade” (EUR 19.90), which were quite nice. That is, if you like sardines, which I do. The salad was actually surprisingly good too.

As a main, I decided to go for the “tagliata de boeuf, frites et salade” (EUR 29.90), which was a bit skewed towards a lot of salad, even a little too much for my personal gusto. The meat was tasty, and cooked nicely medium, as I enjoy it. The fries on the other hand were a bit too stroppy for my personal gusto. So, while the starter was great, I found the mian dish relatively disappointing.

The place is okay in terms of atmosphere, since you get to sit outside, where it’s nice. On top of that, you’re located close to a large place, which makes it even nicer in terms of atmosphere. The staff is superbly friendly and actually greatly attentive, so, nothing to complain there.
