Nice to return for a breakfast session after 7 years: Restaurant Backspielhaus (5. October 2024)

| January 16, 2025 | 0 Comments

It’s about 7 years ago since I’ve last been to the Backspielhaus, but I have good memories of it, so it was time to give it another shot. I went for the “ham and cheese omelet” (EUR 7.50), which was a good portion and was generally speaking also good in terms of taste. However, it was a bit too dry for my personal gusto.

The “chicken sesame salad (leaf salad, spring onions, sesame, honey, soy sauce)” (EUR 16.50) was fine too. Personally, the balance between chicken and salad was a bit off, i.e., there could have been more chicken, and it would have been much easier if the chicken pieces were smaller and, therefore, easier to eat. However, all in all, the salad was good.

The waitress was truly friendly and helpful and made sure you would get everything you needed within no time. On top of that, generally speaking, the place is nice in terms of interior and definitely a place where you can sit for a while and enjoy your breakfast. Despite the fact that it was a Saturday morning, the place wasn’t really booked out, so, it doesn’t seem like you need to book your table in advance. In any case, to summarise it, it’s a good place for a breakfast experience.
