A great place to play cards with the relevant equipment: Restaurant Werdguet (9. December 2024)
The Werdguet is nice since you have attentive and friendly staff who makes sure you get everything you want and need in no time. On top of that, the place is generally nice, and it is definitely perfect to play a round of cards. And while certain dishes are quite okay in terms of flavour, others are not so much. I went for the “tomatoes, mozzarella, bacon, onions” (CHF 14.00) as a starter and that was, frankly speaking, absolutely okay. A bit heavy on the intensity side of things when it comes to all the different tastes. But nice.
Given, I wanted to try something different this time, I went for the “Pizza Mafiosi (salami, egg, spinach, onions)” (CHF 28.00), which was served with peperoncinis, and luckily, they were freshly cut, so you really get that actual spiciness, which was nice. However, to me, this is a case of “stick to what you’re good at”. The crust of the pizza was too doughy and not crispy enough, so, it was a bit sloppy, which didn’t make it equally enjoyable. Other than that, the pizza was fine.
All in all, the Werdguet remains a great place to play cards, but it is not the place to come to for delicious dishes.
