A great selection of dishes, but pricing-wise a rip-off: Restaurant Clouds Kitchen (11. January 2025)

| April 11, 2025 | 0 Comments

I haven’t been to the Clouds Kitchen for brunch since 2017 (see here for the previous review) where the brunch cost CHF 65.00 and some beverages were included (like water). Now, the brunch costs CHF 76.00 and no beverages are included, which is quite a steep increase. Yes, sure, it’s like 7 years since, but that you will even have to pay for beverages on top of the actual brunch really seems off to me. And frankly, it’s just too expensive for what you get!

Sure, what you get is nice like unlimited salmon sashimi, which was superbly tasty …

… or a nice but simple selection of cheese and cold cuts …

… as well as some warm dishes like pasta and potatoes …

… the mandatory bread options …

… or tuna sashimi, salmon, roast beef, and avocado …

… or a ton of different sweets …

… and two fruit juices.

The one thing, which can probably make the price increase legitimate (if you like oysters) are the oysters. Sure, they are good and definitely not the cheapest option there is, but I’m still not sure it justifies what they charge.

The view remains very pretty from above (make sure to book a table by the window and put that into the booking information), so that you actually get to enjoy the view.

The staff is friendly and attentive, so, it’s really nice to have brunch here. But very personally, I find the non-inclusion of coffee, tea, and water a rip-off. Independent of all the rest. So, I will definitely wait again until I’ll have brunch here.
