Quite a delicious option for wine and dine (or lunch): Restaurant Veraz @ Barcelona EDITION (1. March 2025)

| May 7, 2025 | 0 Comments

I was positively surprised by the offering the EDITION has on its ground-floor restaurant. The “beef tartare on coca bread toasts (cured yolk and micro green)” (EUR 20.00) is an absolutely tasty bite. The meat is rich and perfectly seasoned, and it goes well with the egg yolk. So, definitely a great starter. If you then go for the “beef sirloin (200gr, served with Criolla sauce)” (EUR 28.00), you’re not disappointed either. The meat was cooked perfectly medium as requested, and with a bit of salt on top, the perfect bite.

The “red prawns (served with aioli)” (EUR 24.00) turned out to be quite delicious too. And, luckily, they were pre-peeled and the head was easily to be taken off, so, they were not only tasty, but they were also practical to eat. And they went well with the aioli. It was, for sure, a little bit intense, but would work well all in all.

Last but not least, the “70% chocolate brownie (served with dark chocolate cream, white chocolate, and tonka bean)” (EUR 8.00) was something you can definitely enjoy if you’re into sweets. Personally, though, it was too sweet for me, but I enjoyed the different ice creams quite a bit.

The location is lovely and if you get one of the ‘sofa tables’, they are perfect to chill over a prolonged lunch with a good bottle of wine. On top of that, the staff is superbly friendly and makes sure that you have everything at all times. So, I can absolutely recommend you to enjoy your lunch here.
