10. April 2012: Breakfast Restaurant @Le Méridien Etoile
The buffet in the Le Méridien Etoile is nice – there are a lot of different things to choose from: fresh fruit, pan cakes, bacon, sausages, eggs, various fruit juices, cereals and various kinds of bread. Even a selection of miso soup and an omlett station are there. Unfortunately, the miso soup corner was empty when I wanted to try it – the omlett on the other hand was good but not outstanding (cooked too long).
What is very nice is that you are welcomed with a little fruit juice shot when you enter the breakfast room and drop your name and room number so your waiting time becomes shorter (at least feeling-wise). The personnel is very friendly and helpful, bringing you to your table, serving fresh orange juice and tea or coffee.
The room itself is nicely decorated and comfortable – in the summer time it is assumingly very appealing to sit outside in the little patio and have breakfast there. Otherwise make sure you are located close to the other windows as it is somehow calmer up there and the feeling of privacy is better.
I cannot say much about the price as it was included as a welcome amenity in my room booking but I heard it is about 28 EUR (not sure though, read it on foursquare) which I consider quite fair for what you get for breakfast.
