12. – 15. April 2012: Restaurant The Exchange @The Westin
The breakfast buffet at the Restaurant The Exchange in The Westin Dublin is great – the continental breakfast account for EUR 14.50 and the full Irish breakfast for EUR 19.50. The difference is that you get black and white pudding as well as eggs, bacon, sausages, tomatoes and potatoes with your breakfast if you choose the Irish version.
The ingredients are fresh, the selection is pretty satisfying and adequately large. It ranges from a variety of cut fruits …
… to fresh fruit …
… cold cuts, smoked salmon, and cheeses …
… fresh bread …
… to cereals.
You basically get everything you could potentially want. Even a blueberry-banana smoothie is included. The freshly squeezed orange juice is brought to your table. The only thing which was missing in my opinion is a selection of fresh fruit juices – orange juice is nice but it would be great if they offered also fresh apple, kiwi or any other juice.
Besides that, the atmosphere in The Exchange is pretty nice. The place is full with light, spacious and the seats are comfortable. The waiters and waitresses are very helpful and friendly. Absolutely nothing to complain there.
Overall, I can recommend The Exchange for breakfast. If you are staying at The Westin Dublin, then you should go there anyway and even if you are not but have a Sunday morning to enjoy breakfast I can definitely recommend you to have breakfast there as it is very good and the price of EUR 19.50 for the full Irish breakfast is more than okay.
