13. June 2012: Restaurant Take Two
1 kilo of fresh gambas in a garlic lemon sauce with alioli, a small salad and potato wedges (EUR 21.50) is a perfect reasons you should go the the restaurant Take Two when you are in Bonn. The portion is good to share for two and the gambas are delicious, juicy, not dry at all and the garlic lemon sauce just makes them absolutely yummy.
The salad which comes with it is good too and so are the two dips. The potato wedges are rather normal/regular. But overall, the gambas really are very tasty and you will have had enough for sure after eating them – and still they are great in taste.
The price for what you get is ridiculous and the beer is pretty cheap too (0,5L EUR 3.50, 0,3L EUR 2.20). The quality of the service varies grossly depending on the waiter / waitress. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful but some of the waiters which served us where just not born to do that job. The atmosphere is quite okay. The seats and benches are comfortable, the interior is nicely decorated but not overwhelming. Just a fine thing overall.
