20. June 2012: Restaurant Maredo

| June 21, 2012 | 0 Comments

Looks promising, no question! Turns out to be a pretty big disappointment. The “sirloin steak with the typical layer of fat on the outside, succulent on the inside and low in fat (EUR 21.90; 220gr) with steakhouse fries” did in deed have a typical layer of fat, the meat okay. Nothing more or less than that. The 280gr promised were probably more 180gr. The fries were stroppy and tasteless. Even salt was missing.

The salad from the buffet which was part of the dish was fine. The selection was limited and all the good stuff was missing but at least it was salad and it was eatable. For airport food, it is okay.

The place has the charm of a rotten cow but at least the waiter was very friendly and caring – thumbs up for that, especially being motivated in a place like that. Prices are too high for what you get.

To sum it up: If you are starving, go there! If not, do not!
