26. June 2012: Restaurant Sonja’s Gaststätte

| June 28, 2012 | 0 Comments

Fried black pudding on olive oil bread (EUR 3.60) sounds funny at first but it tastes great. The intense and rich taste of black pudding, refined with onions is mouth-watering. The olive oil (!) bread is – obviously – very oily but it is not bothering as the black pudding’s voluminous taste gilds the oily bread’s taste. Not astonishingly, the black pudding on olive oil bread goes very well with beer (0,5L; EUR 3.70).

Sitting outside in this little side street is nice as the area is calm and you can find a lot of restaurants to sit outside. The waiter was very friendly and helpful, the owner not so much. Well, if you get old you get grumpy (sometimes) – definitely a case of “why do you have to be my customer – just let me be!”.

Sonja’s Gaststätte is a nice place to sit outside and have a beer. Also, the food is quite yummy. Try to be served by the waiter and not the owner – way friendlier!
