22. August 2012: Heladeria Santa Clara

| August 27, 2012 | 0 Comments

The ice cream in the Heladeria Santa Clara (again a chain you can find all across Mexico) offers quite good ice cream and some typical Mexican one too. On one side I had a ball of Guayabayana (or something like that) which was quite refreshing and had a good and intense taste. Then again I tried some typical Mexican fruit with – guess what – chili (yes! the ice cream actually had chili). To be honest, it was okay, as the chili was very moderate and there was not much of it but still, it is something I will never understand how one can put spice in sweets!

The place is normal, nothing special, nothing bad, the service is friendly and helpful and the prices are pretty moderate (one bowl about 29 MXN). The ice cream they do is definitely absolutely good – and if you are into trying new things you should definitely also try the “Mexican versions” – otherwise, I can recommend you to stick to the “regular tastes” – they are good too!
