25. December 2012: Restaurant Trastevere
As obviously there was not much open on the 25th, I was not expecting anything when entering the Restaurant Trastevere and I was positively surprised when leaving. I went for the “Gnocchi Ripieni” (stuffed gnocchi with four cheeses with roasted sausage, mushrooms and cream sauce; USD 19.00) and the sauce was definitely tasty, way more than expected. The gnocchi were a bit too fluffy for my personal taste, but all in all, they were okay.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is limitedly attractive but at least you are located on the top floor of the mall and you have a nice view for people watching. The service is friendly but not really outstanding in any way. Still, it is okay. The price is more than fine – for the food as well as for the beverages. A Ginger Ale accounts for only USD 3.00 and you get as many refills as many times as you want!
Although the Restaurant Trastevere is nothing outstanding it is quite okay. The food is fine, the service okay, the atmosphere okay too, and the prices fine.
