I started the blog in October 2009, while living in Milan which I definitely consider to be one of the food capitals of the world. I was in touch with food since my early childhood (as my father is a former chef). Whenever I can, I travel the world to discover new places, to meet people but mostly to try local dishes and to find hidden gems! If you know a place worth going, please drop a line to: info@thediningexperience.org.
Currently, I am a member of the following food-related associations: Chevalier @Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Zurich-Ville; Membre Gourmet Dégustateur @Ordre Mondial des Gourmets Dégustateurs [OMGD]; Gesellschafter @Goldener Fisch and Member @Slowfood Convivium Zurich City.

A good vegetarian dinner experience with varying service quality: Restaurant Cookies Cream (24. May 2025)
The Cookies Cream was on my to-do list for many years – and somehow I never ended up going here. But now it was the right time – but beware, it’s a vegetarian place, so, don’t expect the flavory tasty meats, expect the flavory, tasty vegetables! There is one menu, which can be taken as […]

A lovely restaurant experience in a former hip club in central Berlin: Restaurant Crackers (23. May 2025)
The Crackers had been on my to-do list for a very long time already, and finally I had a chance to try it. The place is a former club, which has turned into a restaurant by now. That being said, you can still feel the club vibe in the place. Once you’re seated, you’re brought […]

A place for steaks, but nothing, which blows your mind: Restaurant King’s Cave (22. May 2025)
It’s a good decade ago since I’ve last been to the King’s Cave and I figured it is time to give it another try and frankly, I wasn’t as excited as I was 10 years ago. The “black angus beef entrecôte from Ireland (300gr)” (CHF 62.00) with “Züri Frites” (CHF 7.00) was quite okay, but […]

Where your experience is fully dependent on circumstances and choices: Restaurant Greta Oto (18. May 2025)
Given the GRETA OTO is a new place in Munich and rated relatively well, I figured, I should give it a try, and that is just what I did. Now, in all honesty, the location is absolutely great. The restaurant is located on the 9th floor of the Hotel Königshof – and the view, if […]

A lovely late night alternative for drinks: W Lounge @ W Prague (17. May 2025)
Returning to the scene of the crime! The second time in a row we ended up in a bar of the W Prague – this time the W Lounge, which is more spacious, on the ground floor, and a bit more relaxed in terms of atmosphere and music. This time, I decided to go for […]

A unique 1-Michelin star dining experience worth doing when in Prague: Restaurant Field (17. May 2025)
The Field restaurant is one of the two Michelin starred restaurants in Prague and I was quite excited to have dinner here. I started with their signature drink, which was made of “gin, gooseberry, granny smith” (395 CZK) and did not look super pretty, but was actually super enjoyable in terms of flavour combination – […]

A very touristic place not really worth visiting: Restaurant Pod Věží (17. May 2025)
After a 2.5 hours walking tour through the city when it was rather windy, we decided to sit down somewhere to drink something and have a small bite. The place is not really a place I would return to, since the overall atmosphere is stuffy, very packed, and it’s mega touristic. On top of that, […]

A lovely breakfast but not as luscious as in other Ws: Restaurant Le Petit Beefbar au Grand Café @ W Prague (17. May 2025)
What I usually absolutely love about Ws is their extensive breakfast buffet, and while the selection at the Le Petit Beefbar au Grand Café was actually very decent, it is far from the luscious breakfast buffets I’m used to, like in the W Dubai, the W Bangkok, or the W Muscat. In any case, you […]
