Rather disappointing breakfast: Restaurant Backyard @ aloft San José Hotel (17. April 2017)
The breakfast selection at the Restaurant Backyard in the aloft San José is decent – you get everything you need starting with a selection of cereals (rather limited), cold cuts, cheese (doesn’t look too appealing) …
… various fresh fruits …
… and some warm dishes like sausages, eggs, and pico de gallo. The place itself is okay but nothing more than that – the cushions which are placed on the sofas are dirty, the service is only attentive to a very limited degree, and last but not least, the place is surrounded by quite a noisy neighbourhood.
Overall, the Restaurant Backyard is fine if you are staying at the hotel anyway, as I did, but it is definitely not worth visiting for breakfast if you’re not staying at the hotel.
