2. April 2011: Restaurant Hochkitzbühel
The Hahnenkammreindl (pork medaillons, morel sauce and spaetzle (EUR 17.20) is a good choice when you eat at the Restaurant Hochkitzbühel. The pork medaillons are tender and juicy, the spaetzle are tasty too and the vegetables are okay. The morel sauce is a bit disappointing as the taste is not really overwhelming – I guess it came right out of a bag.
The view from the Restaurant Hochkitzbühel is pretty much amazing – especially when you can sit outside and have time to enjoy the sun! Definitely a great place to rest after a “hard day of skiing”. The skyline with the mountains and the snow is just great.
The waiters on the other hand are not overly friendly to be honest – there is definitely room for improvement. A pity, as the rest is really nice. The price is also fair for what you get – if you compare it to Germany it’s expensive, I guess.
Overall, the Restaurant Hochkitzbühel is a very nice place where the view is amazing, the food is really good, the price-performance ratio is okay and the service has definitely room for improvement.
