A non-touristic, authentic Venetian restaurant experience: Restaurant La Loggia Bistrò Venezia (10. February 2024)

Given we were a larger group, the restaurant kept open just for us, which was quite lovely, because we had all the attention and focus of the place. The lunch started with an impressive combination of a “tartare di manzo” with a “sandwich di tartare di scampi, chutney di mango e tabasco, crème fraîche and lime”. The tartare was absolutely good, but the scampi sandwich was excellent. Definitely something you will enjoy massively when you get to try it.

Then, there was a bunch of healthy stuff – i.e., a big bowl of salad, which was quite enjoyable all in all.

The “mezzemaniche con crema di zucca, pancia di maialino croccante e mosto cotto” was exquisite. The pasta was perfectly al dente, the pumpkin sauce full of flavour, and last but not least, the pancia really added to the dish. One of the dishes where you could easyil eat much more of it.

The last course was a fish in a beurre blanc sauce, which was actually quite delicious. The fish was tender, and had a nice crispiness to itself, while the beurre blanc sauce was just perfect, and you wanted to keep eating it with a spoon.

Then, it was time for some white chocolates and caramel toffee, which both were good, but somewhat boring compared to the rest that day.

I liked the La Loggia Bistrò Venezia quite a bit because the interior is lovely, the staff is superbly friendly, and the food is good. So, if you’re in Venice, and you want to avoid one of these tourist traps, then it’s definitely worth visiting the La Loggia Bistrò. Make sure to book in advance.
