A delicious Peruvian dining experience: Restaurant Pachacamac by Cecilia Zapata (3. September 2024)
Finding a restaurant last minute isn’t that easy if you’re looking for something a bit better – but luckily, the Pachacamac by Cecilia Zapata still had availabilities. Since they offered a “Menu Dégustation ‘Pacifico'” (CHF 99.00), I decided to go for that. The evening then started with a “mushroom wonton”, which was nice in terms of flavour profile.

The first course of the menu was a “salmon ceviche with leche de tigre”, which was good and refreshing, although the leche de tigre sauce was almost a little bit too intense for my personal gusto.

As a second starter, they served a “tiradito”, which I liked quite a bit, but also here, I found the sauce a bit too intense. I mean, I do like intense flavours, but in both cases the acidity of the leche de tigre wasn’t entirely to my liking.

As a main course, a “dorade” was served, which was quite okay, but frankly, after a rather heavy lunch, I was almost not able to finish it.

Last but not least, they served a nice “dessert”, which did not only look gorgeous, but which was actually outstandingly delicious. But facing the same challenge – way too much food in the end.

All in all, the Pachacamac is a place absolutely worth visiting – great food, fair prices, superbly friendly staff, and a nice interior all in all.
