Remains a good choice for a swift Asian business lunch: Restaurant Susuru (18. September 2024)
After almost a year it was time to retun to the Susuru and it is still the same as before, it just has more customers (at least that was my impression). I went for the “Karaage Petit” (CHF 9.50) as a starter, and I must say the chicken was generally okay, but a bit too oily for my personal gusto. However, given the fact that it’s fried chicken, that is not really that surprising. The mayo was good, although, it was just mayo with some stuff on top of it.

As a main, I picked the “maze chasu (pâte de piment rouge et sauce soja, chashu de porc de Jussy confit 12 hours, jaune d’oeuf, pleurotes, pousses de bambou, oignons nouveaux)” (CHF 25.00), which was a nice change from the regular ramen, I had often picked. The noodles were delicious and had a bit of spiciness to them. Plus the egg yolk, when you mixed it into the bowl, just really added to the dish.

All in allk, the Susuru remains a good place for a relatively swift business lunch in a nice, but tight atmosphere, with good service, and all in all fair prices. Make sure to book in advance, though, if you intend to go during peak hours.
