A lovely bar with great nibbles and cocktails: The Clumsies (16. November 2024)

The Clumsies was No. 3 on the World’s 50 Best Bars back in 2020, and I can still see why. On top of that, I also figured that the bar was saved on a list, which a friend had shared with me, so, I was rather curious when I realised that, and I was not disappointed. Besides nice drinks, they also serve nice little bites like the “corn fritters (with grated feta cheese, Parmesan, sour cream, and dried corn)” (EUR 12.00), which were actually absolutely outstanding. The combination with the feta cheese and the sour cream really made them mouthwatering tasty.

The “tender chicken nuggets (tender breaded chicken bites, yogurt sauce, Andalouse mayonnaise, bacon crumbles)” (EUR 12.00) were not too bad either, and given there was a slice of lime, I figured I’d apply it to the chicken nuggets, and it actually worked a charm and really enhanced the bite.

Since this place is originally a bar, it was also time to try a drink. And what’s the best way to get a few different drinks than a “4 drinks degustation” (EUR 24.00). Now, the part I am not entirely sure of, is which drinks were served, but let me tell you, they were all delicious! And that is not something I’d say easily, but man, really great cocktails!

On top of that, I liked the interior design as it has a joking decoration with the ‘guy who shoots himself in the head with a whiskey bottle” – loved it!

Last but not least, the staff is friendly and overall quite attentive, so, in a nutshell, you get everything you need in this bar – nice atmosphere, friendly staff, great drinks, and tasty nibbles! Recommended!
