A safe space for good food but with slow service: Restaurant Le Lyrique (11. February 2025)
It’s about 5 months ago since I’ve last been to Geneva, and somehow I had also been to the Le Lyrique back then. Well, seems, this is my “go to place” somehow. And I must say besides the fact that the tables are a bit small and quite close to each other, I actually like the place quite a bit. I decided to go for the “tartare de Boeuf Suisse (jaune d’oeuf et condiments, toasts et frites)” (CHF 38.00), which was surprisingly good. And I do admit, I quite like the fresh egg yolk on top of it to mix it in and give it that creamy note.

The place is generally nice in terms of interior – however, the staff was a bit overwhelmed with the (probably very surprising) fact that it would be full over lunch. So, we had to wait for our coffees and the bill for quite a while, which I always find a pity at the very end because it always just kind of ruins the overall experience – even if it was largely positive until that point in time. Make sure to book in advance, as else it will be difficult to score a table.
