A dining experience with left me with stomach issues for a good week: Restaurant Stadtkäserei (3. March 2025)
That’s what I call a once-in-a-lifetime experience – I was fighting with stomach issues for about a week after having dined here. And I cannot even say what it was, but the “Alpstein chicken cordon bleu (with blue cheese, turkey ham, sweet potato, and a yogurt truffle dip)” (CHF 38.00) wasn’t bad. Admittedly, it wasn’t the best food ever either, but it was actually decent. However, it completely knocked me out.
The place is small and overall quite nice – the staff is friendly and relatively attentive. I was a bit surprised that it was almost empty (we were the only guests, resp. the other table had just finished up when we were walking in), but then again, I guess I somewhat get why now.
