A decent option for a quick business lunch: Restaurant Brasserie Süd (14. March 2025)
I haven’t been here in a while because I found the place too noisy to have a proper conversation, but given it is located conveniently central, I figured I’d give it another try. I decided to go for the “business lunch” (CHF 43.00) that day which consisted of a “potato soup (roasted leek oil, brioche croutons)”, which was actually quite nice and enjoyable to get started, and had a decent size.
The main course that day was a “LUMA beef patty with sweet potato mash, green beans, and jalapeño salsa), which looked a bit small, but turned out to be enough in terms of size. And it was quite tasty on top of it. Additionally, the noise level was definitely much lower than in the evenings – and if you ask for a table at the side (instead of the center), then it is actually quite okay.
The waiter was friendly and made sure that things were served swiftly. We had to wait a bit for the starter, but once that was initiated, it turned out to be rather efficient, i.e., the main course was then served in basically no time.
