Open late, which is appreciated, but also overpriced if you go for pasta: Restaurant Loft Five (17. March 2025)
Given I work in the vicinity of the Loft Five again, I’m frequenting the place a bit more and decided to go for the “truffle tagliolini (truffled tagliolini, fig, broccolini, pomegranate, beurre blanc)” (CHF 36.00), which sounded delicious, but turned out to be quite average in reality. The noodles weren’t bad, and I definitely enjoyed the topping with the wild broccoli, given that is my favorite vegetable. But the taste of truffle wasn’t really adding much to the dish and the pasta was a bit overcooked.
So, frankly, for CHF 36.00, it felt a bit like a rip-off. Other than that, the place was still rather busy at 10pm , but they were kind enough to serve us food, which is not a given in restaurants in Zurich at that time of the evening. That being said, the waiter was friendly and relatively attentive. So, sure is an option, but not necessary a choice.
