A nice place for a work-related evening with a larger group: Osteria Santo Bevitore (23. April 2025)
It is a bit ago since I’ve last been to the Osteria Santo Bevitore and back then it was in the context of a work event – and this was the case this time as well. I decided to go for what they said was a recommendation of the house, the “tagliatella ‘Bologna monamour’ (with beef ragout, ceps, and fresh truffle from San Miniato, Tuscany)” (CHF 36.50). And, to be honest, the food was good, no question, but it was nothing amazing either. I mean, the combination of the flavors was nice, but it wasn’t something you would remember a few weeks later.
The place is very cozy and comfortable, fully bringing across that Italian-style vibe of sitting together closely, small tables, and rather loud in terms of atmosphere. However, the service was actually superbly friendly and made sure you would have everything you’d need at all points in time during the dinner. So, for an event it’s quite nice to go here, since you would have the opportunity to bring a large group together, get good food for decent prices, and get a positive vibe. Booking in advance highly recommended.
