A lovely place with good service, and vegan dishes for a fair price: Restaurant The Meet (7. June 2025)
Sometimes you end up being quite positively surprised when you walk into a place where your expectations aren’t too high – and then you figure that it’s actually quite a lovely place to visit. They are offering a “weekend brunch” (EUR 25.00), which is composed of a few elements like a small snack from the kitchen with a hummus spread, which was surprisingly nice to get started.
Afterwards, there was “a little seasonal soup”, which I do not entirely recall what it was, but I must admit that it was refreshingly nice and quite enjoyable overall.
I decided to then go for the “Love my Peanut Noodles”, which were not too bad really, but the noodles were a bit too chewy for my personal gusto – other than that, they were nice. But they wre a bit hard to bite through, which made you have quite large chunks of food in your mouth, which wasn’t entirely optimal.
Last but not least, I went for the “brownie” with an espresso, which was a good ending for the lunch.
I quite enjoyed the interior of the place since it was industrial chic, which is an interior design, which I quite like. Additionally, the staff, which were the two ladies who seemed to co-own it, were superbly friendly and attentive. So, all in all, the place is lovely, the food is quite okay, the price is very fair, and the staff is friendly. I think, vegan dishes will never be my favourite, but this was overall actually quite okay.
