One of The World’s 50 Best Bars – and I dare say ‘rightly so!’: Moebius Bar (7. June 2025)
The Moebius Bar is one of The World’s 50 Best Bars (No. 38 in 2024), which I definitely felt like visiting when in Milan. I decided to give two drinks a try, starting with the “Fluffy Jasmin (GinRaw Original, Crema di Mezcal del Maguey, Lampone, Cocco, Panna, Jasmin)” (EUR 14.00), which did not only look quite nice, but was actually also very enjoyable.
Next, I went for the “Yuzu & Tonic (Roku Gin, Yuzu sake, Fino, Tonica, Verjus, Dragoncello)” (EUR 14.00), which was then, comparatively, disappointing, since it didn’t really taste as special as I had expected and/or hoped for.
As part of the ‘aperitivo’, you pay EUR 3.00 ‘coperto’ and for that you get the “small sliders with the potato fritter”, which was quite nice. Furthermore, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to get “1 Brioche/4 Formaggi” (EUR 12.00), which were quite cheese intense, but enjoyable. The “Crostino Carne” (EUR 12.00) was exquisite. The beef tartare on a piece of bread was delicious – and quite generous for the price (especially compared to the other bites). Last but not least, the “Peperoni Pizzaiola” (EUR 12.00) was rich and flavourful just as it should be. So, all in all, you get a great combination of flavours and tastes together with a few nice drinks. So, frankly, really a place you should visit when in Milan.
Also, because the interior is quite stylish and definitely makes you feel comfortable when you’re in there …
… and it varies quite a bit in terms of interior design between the different areas of the bar.
Upstairs, there is a very small restaurant with a Michelin star, which is definitely something I want to visit next time when I’m in Milan. I would say, it shows that there is a Michelin-starred restaurant because the service quality is quite high.
So, to sum it up, the Moebius definitely belongs on the list of the best bars since it offers atmosphere, great service, nice drinks, and all of it for a very fair price.
