The perfect place to celebrate your birthday with a marvelous view onto Lake Lucerne: Restaurant Hermitage @ Restaurant Seehotel Hermitage (10. August 2025)

| August 25, 2025 | 0 Comments

It’s a good seven years ago since I’ve last been here – back then in a work context, this time for a birthday party. The menu was set, and started with a “burrata (tomatoes of different colours, mango, watermelon, mint, and balsamico)”, which was not only looking nice, but was actually quite enjoyable in terms of flavor profile of the tomatoes. The burrata was nice too – so, it was a good start into the lunch.

The “veal from central Switzerland served with tagliatelle, almond broccoli, and a lemon cream sauce)” looked a bit small, and in terms of tagliatelle, it actually was, but other than that, the meat was perfectly tender and highly enjoyable. The broccoli was nice as it still had a bit of a bite to it – so, all in all, besides the pasta, which wasn’t enough, the main course was great too.

Last but not least it was time for a “raspberry tiramisu with white chocolate” – and while it was absolutely tasty and right down my alley, it was also a rather big portion, and – look-wise – somehow didn’t fall in line with the previous two dishes.

The place is quite gorgeous – if you’re seated on the terrace and have a chance to look onto the lake, then it’s truly beautiful – additionally, the staff is friendly and attentive, and makes sure you have everything you want and need within no time. So, if you’re looking for a place to celebrate your birthday party, the terrace in the Hermitage Restaurant is definitely a good choice!
